1. Terms of Service

1.1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Campus Hands LLC website (www.campushands.com) or any related services (collectively, the “Services”), you (“Customer” or “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Services. By booking Services through our platform, you further acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms.

1.2. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. The “Last updated” date above will reflect changes. Your continued use of the Services after posting of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance.

1.3. Definitions

  • Campus Hands LLC, CH, we, us: Campus Hands LLC and its subsidiaries and affiliates.

  • Customer, you: Any user of our Services, whether registered or guest.

  • Helper: A vetted student contracted by CH to perform household tasks.

  • Booking: A 6‑hour time slot reserved via our Wix platform.

  • Actual Duration: Time elapsed between Helper check‑in and check‑out on site.

1.4. Eligibility

The Services are available only to individuals at least 18 years old. By using the Services, you represent that you meet this requirement.

1.5. Services Overview

CH provides on‑demand assistance—chores, moving help, yard work, cleaning, and other household tasks—performed by Helpers. Although Campus Hands LLC was founded by students, we engage both student and non‑student independent contractors as Helpers and make no representation or warranty that any Helper is a student or campus‑affiliated. Helpers are independent contractors, not employees of CH, and are solely responsible for their own conduct and any damage they may cause to your property. CH acts only as a facilitator between Customers and Helpers and disclaims all liability for damage or loss arising from a Helper’s performance of Services.

1.6. Booking and Scheduling. Booking and Scheduling

  1. Time Slots: All appointments are booked in 6‑hour blocks for scheduling purposes.

  2. Hourly Rate: $32.00 per hour per Helper.

  3. Pre‑Authorization: At booking, we pre‑authorize your payment method for the full 6‑hour block.

  4. Confirmation: You will receive an email confirmation with booking details.

1.7. Payment and Billing

  1. Charge Amount: You are billed only for the Helper’s Actual Duration, rounded to the nearest minute, at $32/hr.

  2. Payment Method: A valid credit card must be on file.

  3. Invoice: An electronic invoice is emailed upon service completion.

  4. Prohibited Payments: Cash, check, or direct payment to Helpers is not accepted and will not satisfy your balance.

  5. Payment Timing: All invoices are sent once the job is completed and are expected to be paid within 24 hours. Failure to pay within this timeframe will result in an automatic charge to your card on file.

  6. Payment Authorization: By booking, you authorize Campus Hands LLC to charge your saved payment method for all invoiced time, including any applicable fees.

  7. Sales Tax: All invoices are subject to Wisconsin state sales tax at 5.5%, calculated on the total invoiced amount prior to any discounts or adjustments.

2. Privacy & Cookie Policy

2.1. Introduction

This Policy describes how Campus Hands LLC (“CH,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you visit www.campushands.com or use our services.

2.2. Information We Collect

  • Personal Data: Name, email, phone, billing address, payment details.

  • Usage Data: Booking history, Helper check‑in/out times, device and browser data.

  • Cookies & Tracking: We use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to track activity and preferences.

2.3. How We Use Your Data

  • Service Delivery: To process bookings, payments, and communicate confirmations/updates.

  • Analytics: We use Google Analytics and similar tools to analyze site usage and improve our platform.

  • Marketing: With your consent, we send promotional emails and offers.

  • Legal Compliance: To comply with legal obligations and protect CH’s rights.

2.4. Cookies and Third‑Party Tools

  • Essential Cookies: Required for core functionality (bookings, log‑in).

  • Analytics Cookies: Track user behavior (Google Analytics).

  • Advertising Cookies: Used by third‑party ad platforms.
    You may manage cookie settings via your browser; disabling cookies may affect functionality.

2.5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

  • Service Providers: Payment processors, email platforms, analytics vendors.

  • Legal: When required by law or to protect rights.

  • Business Transfers: In connection with mergers or acquisitions.

2.6. Data Retention and Security

We retain personal data as long as necessary for service and legal obligations. We use industry‑standard security measures (encryption, access controls) to protect your data.

2.7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email info@campushands.com.

2.8. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

3. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimer

  1. Independent Contractors: Helpers are independent contractors, not employees of CH. We screen and verify, but do not guarantee their professional qualifications, background, or conduct.

  2. Service Guarantee: CH guarantees only that a Helper will arrive at the scheduled time and perform the requested tasks. We make no guarantees about the Helper’s performance, quality, or outcome.

  3. Liability Cap: CH’s total liability for any claim related to Services shall not exceed the total fees paid by you for the booking in question.

  4. No Indirect or Consequential Damages: CH is not liable for lost profits, loss of data, personal injury, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

  5. Property Damage: Helpers, as independent contractors, are responsible for any damage to your property. Claims should be raised directly with the Helper’s insurance provider; CH disclaims all liability.

  6. Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising under this policy will be governed by Wisconsin law and heard in Dane County courts.
